The Green Street Company would like to wish everyone a great holiday season. This year we’ve reached some exciting milestones. We’ve participated and have been successful in a number of new art and crafts show this year. In addition, we’ve successfully completed our second (2010) line of Green Street season’s greeting cards and have issued our second line of American folk art T-shirt that features 5 new original designs. In the future we would like to expand our designs to be included on a series of cups, calendars, and bags. Again, thank you all for your support throughout the years and this holiday season.

Ethnic & African American Folk Art Dolls

What distinguishes the Green Street Company folk art dolls from all the others is their hand-made one-of-a-kind quality. All of our dolls are dressed in period clothing. In some instances the doll clothing is made from antique fabric that we have collected through our travels. Our folk art dolls are styled with original button and jewelry embellishments that are made from vintage components, such as lucite, glass, wood, enameled metal, and other recycled materials.

Each doll is signed and undergoes a series of steps, e.g. cutting and pattern-making, sculpting and molding, sewing, painting, and antiquing. As you can imagine, each of our dolls takes a considerable amount of time to complete. Therefore, we are only able to make a limited number each year.Our doll creations will be much admired in your home, or will be a favorite gift for a friend or family member. This couple is dressed to impress. Lillian is dressed in bright yellow floral dress with matching hair accessory. Anderson is dressed in coordinating suit and tie. These beautiful fabric folk art dolls are hand-painted with sculpted clay face, arms, legs, and feet. The dolls are sculpted in a seating position. Both are signed by the artist. The dolls' hair is made out of real sheep's wool. If you are a doll collector you definitely do not want to pass on the opportunity to own these dolls. Height: 13 in.
